Our annual Trans.History video competition encourages Ukrainian and Moldovan students to create a short film on one of the two topics.
- “Our Town’s Jewish History” OR
- “Civil Rights and Civil Society in Ukraine in the 21st Century”
Goal: to create an innovative, creative, and historically accurate film no longer than 7 minutes. We provide both teachers and students with video guidelines and practical tips on how to create videos.
In 2015, we received 13 videos from schools all over Ukraine, the majority of them focusing on “Our Town’s Jewish History”. All videos showed that the students had risen up to the challenge and provided a new and creative insight into their town’s and country’s history. Learn more about the winners here.
During the Trans.History seminar in Rivne, Nov 5-7. the winning films from the 2015 competitions were presented and received their awards (vouchers for video or computer equipment).
