Chernivtsi Online Seminar | 30.10-01.11 – Call for applications open

Dear friends of Centropa‘s Trans.History program,

Due to the current Covid-19 situation in Ukraine, our local partners and Centropa decided to hold the 13th Trans.History teacher training seminar online from October 30 to November 1, 2020. We are delighted to announce that the Call for Application is now open. This seminar will allow participants to learn about Jewish history and heritage and to explore them with new media tools. During the three days we will hear historical lectures, introduce participants to Centropa‘s educational tools, learn about remembrance and educational projects and how they are implemented in class, and offer several interactive workshops and work in small groups.

This call is open for Ukrainian, Moldovan and Visegrad country educators and representatives of NGOs. The conference languages will be Ukrainian and English (simultaneous interpreting will be provided).

This program is supported by the German Foreign Office, the International Visegrad Fund and the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center. Do you want to join us? Please fill out the application form until October 23, 2020.

We will choose the seminar participants based on the quality and thoughtfulness of their answers in this application.

As a pre-seminar assignment we ask every participant to make themselves familiar with the Chernivtsi AudioWalk and tell us how you would use it in class. Please, send your ideas to:
