Youth Competition 2019/20

For the 5. International Trans.History Youth Competition we invited students from Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic to send us their innovative and creative projects in one of the three categories:

  • Movies
  • Graphic novels
  • Photo stories

on one of the three thematic topics:

  • „Famous Jewish person of my country“
  • „(Hidden) Jewish heritage of my region“
  • „Righteous Gentiles* and the importance of civic courage“

* Those non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Their stories reveal what transforms people from bystanders into upstanders

We received almost 30 projects which were reviewed by an international jury formed by six experts in audiovisual projects and Jewish history.

The awarded projects were presented during the Trans.History Lublin webinar on May 29, 2020.
